We went to visit our friends Pat and Adam in Independence, Iowa this weekend. Jason and I didn't know until Thursday that it was Pat's birthday, but Adam and I were able to come up with a plan to celebrate. I baked him a peanut butter cake (which is now Jason's favorite) and had pizza with Pat's mom and grandparents. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings in Dubuque for supper. We met up with my parents and the Burroughs clan there and all of us enjoyed the company. Our friend Matt provided us with lots of entertainment for the whole weekend and we had a good time playing Dungeons and Dragons. In the picture below you see Jason and Pat having fun gaming.
When we got back, Zara had missed us terribly and was very lovey. She has learned how to jump up on the top of the refridgerator and I'm waiting for the day that she'll fall because she is on the door and can't keep her balance when someone opens it.
Things are going well here and we can't wait for spring!
