Dentist
Happy late Mother's day to all the mothers! We spent Mother's day in Des Moines. We took Joyce, Matt's mom, to HuHot for lunch, then we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa's to visit with them and Karen and Kelsey. Jayden was sleeping, but we at least got to see him.
Jason had some dental work done today. He had two teeth that needed fillings, one of which was under an existing filling. The one under the filling was worse than they thought, so he's having a dental onlay put on sometime in June, possibly sooner. Right now, he is on a semi soft food diet. And he just opened a bag of extra crunchy chips!
I've been trying not to get sick seeing as most of the chemistry staff was sick last week. Three out of seven actually showed up to work last Monday, one of which ended up sick the rest of the week. One of the people who was sick that Monday was sick all week except Friday, and was in an accident on the way to work the following Monday and is out until Thursday. She's had a lot of bad luck! But we pray for a speedy recovery for her!
And for those of you who know Jason, yes, he did see the Star Trek movie. Yes, he said it was awesome. Yes, he can't wait for the sequel.

Spring

Spring is finally here, and hopefully it won't snow again until late November. Some of our flowers have bloomed and they're so pretty! The lilacs in our backyard have started to bloom and they smell so good. I spent most of Sunday afternoon planting our garden. We're hoping to get our fence around it this week to keep the rabbits out. Until then, Jason put kitty litter around the outside of it to detract the rabbits. I hope it works. I picked some rhubarb yesterday and made a dessert with it. I'm sure I'll have plenty for Karen when she gets to Iowa later this week.
It was a busy weekend. Jason worked Saturday morning, then drove for a bachelor party for some of his college friends. He didn't get home until five in the morning. He was really tired by the time he came home. I spent most of Saturday running errands, but went to Joyce's to her bonfire late in the afternoon. Once the fire started to die and the other guests went home, we went inside and finished watching the movie "Sky High". It was really cute. I didn't get home until two. It was a long day for both of us.
Even though we were tired, we did go see the new Xmen movie "Wolverine". It was pretty good. We both stayed awake through it, so it had to of been good.
