Pictures

I just wanted everyone to know that I have posted Allegra and Jay's baptism pictures on DropShots.

I had cavities filled yesterday and it took 3 shots of a general numbing agent and 2 different rounds of shots around the tooth to actually get it numb. I ended up coming home with a pretty bad headache. Luckily, Jason was off yesterday so he was able to watch Jay while I took a much needed nap.
Jay and I have a busy day planned. It's Baby Talk day, and I have several things planned to bake today. I also have some errands planned, so he gets to spend some time in his car seat.

Time for Fall

We had a wonderfully busy weekend. We made a whirlwind trip back to eastern Iowa to have Jay baptized. It was wonderful being surrounded by family.
Now that we are home, it is time to get back into our routine. Our friend Jeff has been staying with us while he finds an apartment. He has found one that he is currently in the process of trying to rent. He's hoping to be moving into the apartment next week. I will be going through several of my cupboards to get rid of some clutter and Jeff has shown some interest in rummaging through it to see if there is anything he would be needing for his new place.
It turned colder here for a little while, but this week is supposed to be in the 70's again. I have made it a goal to go through our clothes and get our winter clothes out by the end of the month. Of course that's a little easier with Jay since the clothes he actually fits into fit in his dresser. And it doesn't hurt that I end up going through his clothes every month or so.

Time

I have been doing a lot better about dividing my time between taking care of Jay and keeping my house somewhat neat and looking for a job. Jay is pretty good about entertaining himself in his bouncy seat now. He has a few more toys that are hanging up that he can actually grab a hold of.
I've also been making progress on Jason's mom's quilt. [p'
]43\54 (Zara's contribution to the blog today!) I have a goal of getting a little bit done each day, and that seems to keep it on track.
Other than that, Jay is still a little congested from his cold, but he seems to be pretty happy...until he's hungry. Jason is back to working Saturday mornings for CyRide. He isn't very happy about it, but it's supposed to be until November. I still haven't found anything, but I've been trying to come up with ideas to help supplement our income without an actual job. It's a short list, but it's something.
We are getting ready for Jay's baptism on the 18th. I have found it a little difficult in planning it since we're in Ames and the service is in Andover. We're very excited and happy about!
