Our friend Brooke came to visit us over VEISHA weekend. We had a good time catching up with her. It had been a long time since we have seen her. She is in chiropractic school and doing really well. We wish her the best of luck and know she'll be a wonderful chiropractor!
We have also had rain on and off for the last two weeks. It's been nice because everything has started to turn green and some of the flowers are blooming. It's not so nice because everything is soggy and more often than not, I get a slight headache from the front that comes through. It's also hard to get out of bed when it is still gray outside.
I'm starting my last packet for my on-line class. I'm hoping to get it done before the end of the semester and I am unemployed for the summer. My last day of work is May 6th for this semester. I'm still doing well in the class and have been enjoying it. If anyone has any leads on an at-home medical transcriptionist job, please let me know!
Really the only other thing that is new is I'm trying "new" recipes. We have some good stuff at food service and I'm improvising them at home, usually adding different things than what they have to make it better, or at least more to our liking. It's been working out so far. I may even post one of the recipes for everyone to try!

Sick...again
Yesterday I stayed home with a sinus migraine. It was the worst one I have ever had. I woke up with it at 3 am and it didn't start going away until sometime in the afternoon. I also wore my sunglasses most of the day, even inside. I tried all of the home remedies and none of them worked. It did convince my doctor that maybe I should be on an antibiotic for the sinus infection I have. I did go back to work today and things went all right. The baby has still been very active through the whole ordeal, so nothing to worry about there. Zara has been my protector, kneading my legs, then falling asleep in my lap. She's very ferocious!

VEISHA
We had a good doctors appointment today. The heartbeat was good and we go back in two weeks. Check out the baby website for more details!
It's VEISHA this week and it's supposed to snow on the weekend. Jason volunteered to pick up some late night hours over the weekend. I'm lucky enough to not have to work. We were planning on going to see some stuff on Saturday, but with the predicted snow and cold temperatures, we've opted out of making sure we go to VEISHA. It's been slow at work for me so far because they have free lunches and lots of activities on campus that the students participate in. Jason's job has also been slow since the weather has been pretty nice.
I'm done with my physical therapy for my back. I still have pain, but it's not as often and I know how to manage it better. My physical therapist said to continue with the exercises after I have the baby (not the same day, of course) and to try to continue avoiding stairs for a while after birth as well. I have noticed my back hurts more when I use the stairs more often than I should. Jason has been better about helping me to not go up and down the stairs. He has also been helping by rubbing my back and helping with ideas for the summer.
