Vacation

Jason and I went on a mini-vacation this weekend to Waterloo. We had earned a free night at a Country Inn and Suites. The room was huge and it was nice to spend some time and relax. We did get some time at the Imaginarium on Saturday (we got a late start in the day). We saw a demonstration on snakes, and even got to pet some. Jason made me stand by the Vander Graff generator to watch my hair stand on end.

We met with Kyla and Dave who gave us some of their old baby stuff. (I think they were more than happy to get rid of it!) We also had supper with their family along with Pat, Adam, Sarah and her boys. We went to Olive Garden and it was excellent. Pat, Adam, Sarah and the boys came to hang out in the hotel with us after supper. The boys had a great time running back and forth from one side to the other.

Today, Jason and I went to the Crossroads Mall and walked for a while. We had lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse. We decided that we wanted to go home since the weather was not cooperating very well. The roads weren't slick on the way home, but were on the verge.

When we got home, we got to see all of the new windows that were installed while we gone and the house is so much warmer and quieter.
