They're In!!

That's right....Jay's pictures are here! I'm very excited because they turned out so well! I'm sure it would have been hard for them not to since he's such a cutie! He and I have been having a busy week. Monday we went shopping for formula after we stopped at food service to say Merry Christmas to my old co-workers. Tuesday Jay and I were a little under the weather. Jay seemed to still be quite stuffed up and tired and I was battling an almost migraine. (It didn't turn into one, but it sure had potential!) Wednesday was Baby Talk, soup luncheon at the church (entertained by the organ), to Walmart for picture pick up, and later that night back to church for the kids pajama party and chancel choir. They didn't have anyone in the nursery, so Jay got to sing in the choir too. Thursday I decided it was a good day to not go anywhere. Jay and I hung out at home, laughing and having a good time. We read his library books and watched a Christmas movie. Friday I spent a good portion of the day working on a medical transcription test. Our friend, Adam came down to spend the weekend with us and surprised us with my sister Jordan! Jay thought it was great to have both of his Godparents visiting.

Today was another veg out day. I spent most of my time finishing my test. I didn't get a lot of my daily chores done, but I did spend a lot of time with Jay. Jason and I were lucky enough that Adam and Jordan volunteered to watch Jay for a little bit so we could go for a walk outside. It's been unseasonably warm and we wanted to enjoy it for a bit. Jay and I also Skyped with Mom and Dad for a little bit this morning. I think Jay's pretty excited about seeing them next week. Probably not quite as excited as I am, but I'm sure it's pretty close.

Cute Little Boy

We had some visitors this weekend. Jason's parents decided to come see the Christmas cantata the choir was performing. They had to come down Saturday since the 8:30 service was the cantata. Since they came down Saturday, we all went to Tuba Christmas! It was a lot of fun and Jay really liked the music. He did try his hardest to chew on the pew in front of him, but we were able to keep him away from it.
So Sunday I sang at the 8:30 service, stayed in-between services and rang bells at the second service. All of us then went to lunch before Jason's parents had to leave to go back home. We had a wonderful time with them here and I know Jay had a good time with them as well.
Jay did have a flu shot on Saturday. I took him to the doctor since he was still congested. He's all right, except for the congestion. Apparently there is a cold virus going around that just hangs on for quite a while. Since he doesn't and hasn't had a fever, the doctor said there wasn't anything we could do except the normal congestion stuff. Last night, Jay slept for over 13 hours with a brief period of eating and a diaper change at about 8 in the morning. He was one tired little boy! He was definitely a really good boy today while we ran errands and stopped at food service to see my former co-workers. They think he was such a cutie!

On the Mend

As we begin a new week, I think we're mostly well. I'm on the very end of this cold and Jay is still sneezing stuff and a little congested, but he is able to sleep on his own again. Jason is still tired, but that's pretty normal for the weekend. (He does work early on Saturdays.) I'm sure we'll be completely better by the end of this week.
Jay had pictures taken Wednesday. We had them taken at the PictureMe studio and he is so adorable! Isn't he just a ham?! The photographer had a good time with him. He was pretty cooperative and quite smiley!
Jay and I went to church on Saturday for the men's group omelet breakfast. Jay wasn't able to have anything, but I definitely enjoyed my omelet! There were several ladies there that I knew and they all wanted to see or hold Jay. Santa was even there! Jordan came up later that afternoon after visiting with Grandma and Grandpa Peterson. She loved holding Jay! She even got some good pictures and video of him. Jordan watched him while Jason and I went to see the new Muppet movie. We thought it was pretty good. Of course she left today so she could be home to get some rest before she goes to work tomorrow. We're very glad she was able to come out and visit. Hopefully we'll be able to see her again soon!
